Daisy Mae’s Happy Ending: How a Foster Home Helped Her Find Forever 🌼🐾

On September 26, Daisy Mae headed home with her forever family. Waiting for her were two dogs she already adored, cats, and people ready to welcome her into their lives.

It was a beautiful day for our rescue—and a bittersweet one for Katie, the foster mom who helped Daisy get there.

Fostering means welcoming an animal into your everyday life. It means learning their quirks, building routines, helping them feel safe, and discovering what makes their tail wag. For Daisy, Katie’s home gave her a place to settle in while we searched for the right family.

During her time in foster care, we got to know the affectionate, playful girl behind that sweet face. Daisy loved other dogs, was gentle with cats, and enjoyed being close to her people. Those everyday discoveries helped us tell potential adopters who she was and what kind of home would suit her.

Then came the meet and greet.

Daisy met her future family and their two dogs, and the connection was immediate. She fell in love with them, and they fell in love with her. Her family decided that same day that they wanted to adopt her. We completed the contracts and arranged her homecoming.

When adoption day arrived, Daisy also went home with her complimentary six-month Fi subscription, which her adoptive parents put to use right away. Watching her begin this new chapter was everything we had hoped for.
