Miss Roxy Blues Welcome!

Last night we got one of those calls that no rescue ever wants to receive.


A man struggling with addiction had reached a point where he felt he had no options left. He told us he was going to sell his dog to whoever would give him a few dollars. We knew we had to act fast.


When we arrived, it quickly became clear that this little girl needed help. We witnessed her being dragged by her leash, tied to a very short leash attached to a chair, picked up by her harness, and screamed at. No puppy deserves to be treated that way.


We raced over with surrender paperwork in hand, and before the night was over, a sweet little puppy was safely in our care.


She had been named “Crystal M3th.” Thankfully, that chapter of her life is over. We felt she deserved a name that reflected the bright future ahead of her, so everyone meet Miss Roxy Blue.


Roxy Blue is a young husky mix with the most stunning blue eyes and a heart full of love. She is only a few months old and should be learning how to play, explore, and enjoy being a puppy, not living in fear. She is currently in foster care with us and is already settling in beautifully. In just a short time, we’ve seen her begin to relax, seek affection, and show us the sweet personality that was hidden beneath all that stress.


While the circumstances that brought her to us are heartbreaking, we’re grateful she is now safe, loved, and surrounded by people who want nothing but the best for her.
